Institute of Gerontology at the University of Tokyo are to cooperate with a network of firms to undertake collaborative research on issues related to aging society. The new network builds on a consortium established in 2009 that was to explore relevant areas of focus as preparation for joint research. The Gerontology Network (as it is called) will look at seven main major themes, such as information and communications, transportation systems, or accommodation.
